Aurélien Cavelan obtained his Ph.D in the area of fault-tolerance and High Performance Computing from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon in 2017. His thesis was awarded with an accessit to the Gilles Kahn prize in 2018. Since September 2017, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Basel, Switzerland. His main topics of interest include fault-tolerance, modeling, simulations, optimization, and scheduling techniques for large scale platforms.
