Sorin-Cristian Cheran
Biography
Sorin currently drives the Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Solution Group who is responsible for the AI strategy and solution across HPE’s Business Units and regions. In his 12 years with HPE, Sorin has held a number of different roles. Until recently he was the AI and Chief Architect in the Hewlett Packard Labs and previously he worked in the High-Performance Computing (HPC) and AI Competency Center in Grenoble, France as part of the Hybrid IT BU Presales team. Sorin’s career advancement has rapidly progressed from HPC Post-Sales Engineer to a customer- facing presales role to Distinguished Technologist and later on to Fellow.
Sorin’s drive, creativity, energetic leadership and spirit of collaboration consistently delivers outstanding business outcomes for HPE and its customers. Sorin has nurtured and evangelised Artificial Intelligence in HPE but also with customers and partners. From its emerging form, to building teams, educating people in the AI Ambassadors program and Worldwide technical AI enablement program, he has matured solutions to ensure HPE grows its capabilities to address the market potential.
Sorin holds a Masters in Nuclear Physics from Siegen University, Germany and a PhD in AI from the Universita degli Studi di Torino, Italy
