Miriam Mehl, born 1974 in Munich, achieved her diploma in Mathematics with a minor in Economics at the Technical University of Munich. She did her doctoral studies (1997-2001) in Computer Science in the field of Scientific Computing on biofilm simulation. In 2010, she was awareded the Habilitation in Computer Science. 2010 until 2013 Miriam Mehl was member of the Institute for Advanced Study as a Carl-von-Linde-Junior Fellow. After acting as adeputy professur in Numerical Mathematics, she came to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Stuttgart as a full professor heading the group ‚Simulation of Large Systems‘.
