Douglas Schwer is a Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory(NRL). He got his Ph. D.from the Pennsylvania State University in 1999 and did a two year post-doc at Massachusetts Instituteof Technologyin Chemical Engineering before joining NRL. He has worked on blast mi
tigation, fire suppression, blast/armor interactions, low gravity flames, dispersed-phase flow modeling,anddetonation engines for air breathing propulsion.
