Philipp Samfass is a PhD candidate at the Chair of Scientific Computing in Computer Science at Technical University of Munich (TUM). He holds a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from TUM and a M.Sc. degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on several new topics and challenges in high performance computing such as load balancing, fault tolerance, heterogeneous computing and hybrid parallel programming models.
