Dr. Sotirios Xydis (male) received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece, in 2011. He worked for two years as Post-Doctoral researcher at the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB) at Politecnico di Milano. He is a senior research associate of the Microprocessors and Digital Systems Laboratory at NTUA and he has been appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Informatics and Telematics of Harokopeio University of Athens. His research interests are: cloud computing, embedded systems design for edge computing, design space exploration, high-level synthesis, accelerator design, reconfigurable processors, memory management and power/thermal aware design for many-core platforms. He has published over 90 papers in international journals and conferences, and has received two best paper awards in AHS’07 and PARMA’13 international conferences.
