Jorji Nonaka is currently a technical scientist at the Operations and Computer Technologies Division in the RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS), Kobe, Japan. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science from University of Brasilia, Brazil, and his Ph.D. degree in Informatics from Kyoto University, Japan. Before joining RIKEN, he worked as a system engineer at KGT Inc., Tokyo, Japan, and as a visiting adjunct professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Recife, Brazil. His current interests and activities include large data analysis and visualization, HPC usability enhancement, and energy efficiency improvement .
