Biography
Takahiro Katagiri received the B.S. degree in engineering of information technology, from Kyoto University, in 1996, and M.S. degree in computer science from the University of Tokyo, in 1998 and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from The University of Tokyo, in 2001. He has been a Research Assistant with the University of Electro-Communications, since 2002. Since 2007, he has been an Assistant Professor with the Supercomputing Research Division, Information Technology Center, The University of Tokyo. He is now a Full Professor with the High-Performance Computing Division, Information Technology Center, Nagoya University. He is the author of seven books on parallel programming and HPC education, and more than 100 articles. Dr. Katagiri was a recipient of the Young Scientists’ Prize, The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.
